Programs Offered at RAE
Core Essentials
Core Essentials is about helping to create a school culture that supports positive behavior, treating each other right, and instilling individual goal focused towards lifelong success. By addressing a particular character trait each month, students are made aware of how demonstrating these characteristics can support a healthier and safer environment for all. It helps make schools places our children want to be. Students seen exhibiting these traits are recognized throughout the year. For a complete list please click the link below.
KEYS
KEYS (Keep Encouraging Youth toward Success) is a district program in which adults can apply to mentor students on elementary, junior high, or high school campuses. PALS
The Katy Independent School district has a very special mentoring program called PALS (Peer Assistance Leadership Skills). Our school has been fortunate enough to be paired with PALS from Seven Lakes High School who will act as mentors to selected students at Alexander Elementary. These high school students have met eligibility through training standards and participated in a selection process to become one of these dynamic peer leaders.
A;exander students are nominated for this program by RAE staff members, and parent consent is required. Students are chosen for PALS based on a variety of reasons. PALS are considered an extra cheerleader, a role model, a support system, an encourager, an ear to listen, and so much more.

RAE Guides
One boy and one girl in each K-5th grade homeroom class is selected by their teacher as a RAE Guide. RAE Guides welcome new RAE students that enroll in their homeroom class throughout the year and show them around the school, introduce them to teachers/staff and other students in their grade level, answer any questions the new student may have, and so much more.
